  • Ladies' Golf Association
    • Welcome to the Northgate Ladies Golf Association!

Our 18 hole and 9 hole leagues have an exciting year planned for 2017. The year is just beginning and we welcome anyone to join our great group of ladies at any time. Weekly events are scheduled along with major tournaments, which are held throughout the year. Our play days are every Wednesday and after a fun day on the course, we have lunch and reminisce over the good or not so good shots of the day. We are a family of golfers and value the camaraderie of being together. When the weather doesn't cooperate and it's a rainy day, golf may be canceled but it doesn't stop us from doing something else as a group. We gather in the Ladies Board Room to play games/cards and two of our favorites are Mah Jongg and Bridge.

Once a month, our league travels to other clubs to play in the Northwoods Interclub. It's a great opportunity to play on these fabulous courses and meet new friends who have the same passion for the game. Golf and lunch for a day with friends, what could be more fun!

At the end of the year, we host our award's dinner dance. It's the time of year to celebrate the LGA's outstanding tournament winners. We glam-up with our spouses and dance the night away. Always a fantastic gala!

Take a moment to browse through the Northgate's calendar web-site to find our LGA calendar of events. We are an enthusiastic group of ladies who love the game of golf. So grab a friend, come on out, and join the fun with us. Please feel free to contact me anytime.

Cheers to great golfing in 2017!

  • Senior Men's Golf Association
    • Welcome to the Senior Golf Association (SGA) portion of the Northgate Country Club's web site. We encourage you to look around and, most importantly, if interested in becoming an SGA member, we encourage you to contact the Northgate Membership Office. Bottom line, wear known for great fellowship, the quality (some dispute this) of our golf, and the chance to brush up on our "tall tale telling talents" in the men's locker room.

The SGA generally schedules weekly tournaments using a wide variety of formats. Pro shop credit is awarded to the top performers each week, and since all of our formats are based on handicaps, everybody has a chance to win. Winners also earn points (published on the web site and the locker room bulletin board) over every 6-month period in order to qualify for two of our "major" tournaments -- the SGA Spring and Fall Derby's where the top 10 qualifiers compete for the title of Derby Champion, which is rewarded by the accolades of all, actual cash, bragging rights, and recognition at our free annual Awards Banquet. The other two major championships are our Match Play championship and the SGA's Club Championship (also recognized at the awards banquet). Winners of these receive trophies and a jacket in the case of the Match Play champion.

Beyond our SGA members' tournaments, we also have several member-guest events where you may invite non-members to join you in golf tournaments that show off our courses to friends and potential members. Most prestigious of these is the annual Silver Fox tournament , complete with corporate and individual sponsors, world class awards, and a beautiful dinner served by the deluxe Northgate chef's kitchen. You won't walk away from that one feeling hungry.

Feel free to browse around the SGA web site, where you will find our bylaws, a list of officers, our members and other information about our golf tournaments and players' performance. Then, come out and join us. We guarantee that no matter the quality of your game, you will have a good time and make good friends.
